CommitteesFrom EWBNEU_WikiWe have many Committees! It is composed of a variety of technical and engineering students who meet regularly to use the data collected by the travel team to design a feasible and sustainable solution. The Honduras Program has been very successful, with two projects successfully completed. The group is currently working on the third. Uganda Design Committee Meetings are weekly meetings concerning our newest project in Uganda. Similar to the Honduras Design Committee, the Uganda Design Committee is comprised of students who analyse information from Uganda, design programs, and prepare for trips. The projects EWB-NEU works on are funded solely through donations. The Fundraising Committee raises financial and material support for these projects, which is one of the most challenging aspects of the group. The Cultural and Education Committee works to educate members of the Northeastern community about the goals of EWB. In addition to this the committee also creates informational materials to bring to the local villages. The Local Outreach Committee works to involve EWB-NEU and its student members in the local community This committee has helped organize service events. 2009 Northeast Regional Workshop Information This 'temporary committee' serves to organize all of the planning that will result from the Workshop that NU will be hosting in November of 2009. |
